MikeandMareneth CerialeBALTIMORE CITY POLITICIANS TURN THEIR BACKS ON THE DISABLED While retired Politicians and all other retired City employees receive steady/constant cost of living raises. Firefighter’s and Police Officer’s Injured in the Line of Duty have had their Pensions frozen for any type of Cost of Living wage increase for over 8 years now unless they reach the age of 55 where they get a 1% raise. The current Pension Court case started in 2010 but you must have been retired for two years before receiving any type of increase. If a Firefighter or Police Officer was injured in the Line of Duty in 2008 and were only 45 years old they have not received one single cost of living raise to date. While Healthcare costs skyrocket along with inflation these people have been all but forgotten. Retired Firefighters and Police Officers Injured in the Line of Duty were lumped into the City’s Pension court case just like everyone else with no consideration given to them. Many are dying and struggling to make ends meet while this plays out in the court system. It seems what they have already endured was not enough and have been sacrificed for the greater good of Baltimore’s finances. The very same Brave people who have put their lives on the line each and every day for the Citizens of Baltimore are asked to sacrifice more. It is shameless that Politicians chose to include Firefighters and Police Officers Injured in the Line of Duty in their Pension court case debacle. City Politicians have turned their backs on all of those that already have given so much to Baltimore and the citizens they served. Michael Ceriale, Retired Captain BCFD

Diane BenkovicKeep it up Carl, and you will see Under Armour flee the City, just as so many other major corporations have. Then, who will pay for all of the entitlements that so many in Baltimore City have been given by politicians in exchange for their votes?

Larry KamanitzCarl May I remind you and other City Council members that previous politicians claimed ; The Baltimore Colts would not move That MBNA and a half dozen credit card companies would not move THEY LEFT BALTIMORE Also there were others but these really hurt! Do you want to be one of those that can be blamed for blowing a great opportunity ? Also it is interesting that those who are making the greatest objections PAY NO REAL ESTATE TAXES ! If they did there would be money to solve some of the issues they raise. larry

Donald RheubottomMAYORAL CANDIDATES I keep hearing "YOU" talk in detail about, "Police Reform" but what about details on, "Criminal Reform". If you really care about the Citizens safety, Crime should be your priority! Here's a little help to get you started in the right direction CANDIDATES! 1. Gun Control on the "CRIMINAL SIDE", Mandatory minimum sentences for Felons caught carrying and using firearms, How about 20 years w/o parol if convicted and this can not be plea bargained for less than 10 years imprisonment w/o parol. 2. Making possession of a fire arm in the City of Baltimore a FELONY and no longer a misdemeanor. It's a FELONY IN MARYLAND, so why not the, CITY of BALTIMORE!...GO FIGURE? 3. Mandatory minimum sentences for Juvenile repeat offenders stealing cars and recreational vehicles. Anybody who lives in this City knows some Juveniles are completely out of hand and they know the laws work in their favor. These young people are in need of help and guidance but the public needs to be protected. After stealing 2 and 3 cars, you should not be right back on the street to steal a 4th. 4. Before any other Candidate running for Mayor mentions a Dirt Bike Park, give your proposal on what you will do about the illegal Dirt Bike Riding in Baltimore City, it is illegal to drive on public roads w/o a license. This is also part of the violent crime problem in the communities because guns and drugs are transported on these vehicles because they know the Police are not allowed to pull them over. Humm?... I wonder why this is not a problem in BALTIMORE COUNTY? 5. Make legislative proposals to put caps on plea deals for violent crimes by repeat offenders. 6. Finally, fix the broken system between the District Court and the Circuit Court, Defendants should not be able to request a jury trial just to get a better plea deal at the Circuit Court level. What ever is offered in the District Court should, at a bare minimum, be offered in the Circuit Court. You wanna be our Mayor, get real on crime! What are your thoughts, Everyone Please! Share the Knowledge!
